The event is for the benefit of “Shock Trauma” formally—the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. “Shock Trauma” was the brainchild of Dr. R Adams Cowley, he recognized the “Golden Hour.” It is that period of time after a traumatic injury before shock settles in and causes more damage. Shock Trauma is located at the University of Maryland Medical Center. It was here that Ronny was flown after he suffered a fall fox hunting. They were phenomenal with him and his family. The doctors, nurses, and staff were there at every turn to help them. The doctors and nurses became a part of his extended family.
At the MD Polo Club alongside the Ladew Polo Field. The entrance is located at Fallston Road (Route 152) near the intersection with the Jarrettsville Pike(route 146). The gates open at 5 pm and the match starts at 6pm.
Disclaimer: Due to the nature of polo, should the organizers deem the field too wet or the rain too foul, the event may be canceled due to the aforementioned, in which case there shall be no refunds.
One will see men in coats and ties with long pants, Bermoudas, and polo shirts. Ladies will be wearing sun dresses and dressy shorts and long trousers. The event is under a tent and there is no air conditioning.
This year, Hunt Valley Catering in Hereford will provide the buffet dinner.
